Some descriptions of the procedures carried out in detailing a vehicle.
Wash technique.
All wash procedues are carried out using what is known as the 2 bucket method,
(Bucket 1) has the warm water and wash concentrate in and (Bucket 2) has warm water with which the wash mitt is rinsed in after each application upon the vehicles paintwork, both of which have gritguards which are raised an inch from the bottom to seperate the grit from the clean solution.
These methods are vital to protect the paintwork and minimise incuring wash marks and swirls to the paint.
All vehicles are given a warm citrus based pre-wash to remove the traffic film build up prior to the wash procedure and this product will not strip exsisting waxes.
Foaming.
This application is applied through a lance on the pressure washer and produces a thick foam solution that dwells on the paintwork and soften and draws the soiling out and down the vehicle and reduces surface dirt prior to the wash procedure.
Alloys.
All alloys cleaned with soft brushes and only ph balanced wheel gels that cling and break down soiling and no acid or alkaline based products are used.
Cleaning process
This is followed by a last step wheel sealant to protect from brake dust and harsh corrosives.
After.
Claying.
Specialist clay is used to remove bonded surface contaminents caused by industrial fallout, tar, paint overspray and enviromental pollutants that eat away at the paintwork and once removed produces a smooth as glass finish and an ideal base from which to apply a polish and wax.
Application.
Clay after quarter of a panel.
Polishing.
Polish works like a moisturiser would absorb into your skin and reinstates vital oils back into the paintwork it also contains tiny micro abrasives that correct the defects like swirl marks, light scratches, marring and holograms when used with a rotary polisher these abrasives break down uniquely under time and heat build up and turn into fine polishes restoring the lustre and gloss to your paintwork.
Rotary in action.
50/50 shot after polishing.
Waxing.
This is applied after polishing as a last step product using fine waxes with a high percentage of Carnuaba and applied thinly in layers produces a hard barrier that protects the finish and adds gloss, clarity, depth and warmth.
With the correct maintenance procedure 3-4 months can be expected between top-ups.
Sealants.
Sealants are applied for the ultimate protection in place of waxes and offer unrivalled durability whilst offering a rich wet look shine and deep glass like appearance that forms a clear barrier against harsh enviromental elements.
With the correct maintenance procedures 10-12 months durability can be expected.
