Having got the car home and had the chance to examine it closely in the sunlight I have to say you’ve done a quite remarkable job ! All the dullness , holograms and swirls have disappeared to be replaced by an incredibly deep shine which really makes the metallic black look like a true , deep colour. The finish is absolutely superb and looks as though it’s too wet to touch !
It goes without saying that I’m delighted with the work you’ve done to bring the car back to life.
 
I should add that you were too modest when you mentioned you’d touched in the stone chip on the passenger door ; to my eye it has completely disappeared.
 
I’m so glad that I chose you from the plethora of detailers operating in the market because your work is first-class. When it gets to the stage that the 911 needs a refresh you can be sure I’ll be heading back to you. In the meantime I’m now thinking about bringing you the Panamera …

Mr.IM - Porsche Boxster S

Hi Rob, Just wanted to write you a quick testimonial. 
In America they use the word ‘awesome’ far too often and totally out of context. 
However, I would like to say that my Boxster S certainly looks ‘awesome’ after the 4.5 days of work you have put into it. 

When we bought the car from a Porsche dealer (car is 4 years old with 9,000 miles only), we were extremely upset with the standard of paint finish that Porsche were willing to sell the car to us with. 

They offered to fix it themselves but I am so glad that we arranged for Rob Leys of Gleammachine to do the work for us. The results are  absolutely stunning – better than a brand new showroom car in my  opinion. 

Now we plan to take our Boxster on many driving tours so I know we cannot expect to keep this wonderful condition up for ever– however, when more work needs doing it will be booked straight back in to Rob at Gleammachine.

Mr. GS - 981 Porsche Boxster

My 981 Boxster in Agate Grey was in a decent state when I purchased it from a Porsche dealer. I was however keen to make it look it's absolute best and have a protective coating applied.
I found Rob on the Web and was impressed by his website. I was further impressed by his excellent response to my initial enquiry- great customer service is really important to me and Rob's response gave me confidence.
Rob assessed the car and confirmed it was in good order. recommending his new car protection service with a little extra polishing. He talked me through his protective coating options, and he was very fair in his pricing.
A Saturday completion was forecast and an update the following day before Rob kindly dropped me off at the local train station. The update was received as promised and collection arranged, Rob collected me from the station on the saturday afternoon.
The car looked amazing, super-glossy and Rob explained what he'd done and how to maintain the fabulous condition. I was more than impressed! Rob promised to send me some pictures which he duly did the same day, and they looked awesome, too.

I will be pleased to see Rob again in the future to maintain the excellent finish he achieved, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

The quote taken from Robs welcome page "Offering a service that is second to none" absolutely sums up my review. From start to finish, from when I first met Rob to when I collected my car, I was offered a professional, couteous and outstanding service.

Having recently purchased my 6-series more with heart than my head, apart from being mechanically sound, it was obvious the previous owner neglected the car of it's paintwork.
However, after a week with Rob, the paintwork was transformed from a scratched, swirl marked car into the pristine BMW that left the factory 8 years ago. I was amazed at the job he done!! 

So if your thinking of contacting Rob for his services, stop hesitating and do it now. You will not regret it!!

Mr. HP- VW Touareg

The external and internal condition of my 2008 60K Touareg was as would be expected from a secondhand car dealer-fair (just!). The money spent with Rob will soon be forgotten but the quality and standard of finish provided will last and last.

Every aspect of the service from first contact and quotation to leaving my car, and then the final theatrical reveal of Rob removing the protective dust sheet was meticulous and carried out with an air of quiet professionalism. I cannot fault any aspect.

Perhaps one day I will have a classic car which will certainly be given the Gleammachine treatment, for now though, the longevity which has been added to the look and condition of our day to day vehicle.. was certainly worth the wait for space in Rob's diary.

After becoming disillusioned with the detailer I have used for the past 7 years and having had one bad experience trying to find an alternative I had come to the conclusion that the quality, OCD detailer was no more. My fear was unfounded. 
A recommendation and seeing some of Rob's work on his website, where he clearly took as much care with less exotic machinery as he does with real exotica, led me to his door and his work on my E32 daily utterly blew me away. 
Rob is, without a doubt, "an artist". More than that he is a true car man, with obvious passion and understanding. Particularly evident in the sympathy he showed when not overworking the patina of a very original car. If only he could guarantee the weather on the drive home!

Highly recommended, he will now have the pleasure of all of the other cars in our household, exotic or not.

I recently dropped off my car with Rob Leys of Gleammachine, after reading other reviews online and looking at some of his other work on both his site, and the Detailing World forums. What I was after was a transformation from a dull, lifeless, drab, swirled and scratched grey-black finish to the pristine, sparkling, mirror-glossy, deep, glinting, metallic 'midnight' black it was when it first left Jaguar. I suspected I may have been asking a bit too much, but boy was I wrong. Rob's work lived up to my every expectation, and then some: when he opened his garage at the end of the four-day treatment, I was met with a big, black cat that looked like it had just come off a production line in a chemical lab's clean room. Pristine is possibly an understatement; much as is the word 'happy' to describe my reaction.
This kind of detailing pretty much amounts to a cross between resurrection and artistry. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to recommend Rob to anyone and everyone: his work is quite simply amazing. If you want your car looking its absolute, gleaming best, give him a go. You won't be disappointed. Promise.

I have used Rob/Gleammachine from day 1 when my AMG was delivered to Mercedes, and the New Car Preparation that he did on that was "the most incredible job I have ever seen" on a detail for any vehicle, and I used to own my own Valeting company.

Since then Rob has performed a top-up service on my P&J once it had reached a year old, once again he did not fail to impress and gave me exactly what I wanted and have to come to expect from a top detailer.
